A fine sandy beach, a modern convention centre and an ideal location close to major European capitals… Dunkerque has many attractions for visitors. This growth may be due in part to the enthusiasm for northern France inspired by Dany Boon’s film and the impact of the Dunkerque Carnival, but our region is also renowned for the quality of its welcome and the wealth of activities it offers. Dunkerque is France’s northernmost sub-prefecture, located in the Nord department. The ‘city of Jean Bart’ lies at the centre of the Dunkerque Grand Littoral urban community, which comprises seventeen municipalities.
