Bordeaux is a municipality in south-western France. The capital of Aquitanian Gaul under the Roman Empire for almost 200 years, then of the Duchy of Aquitaine, the royal province of Guyenne and the Age of Enlightenment, it is now the capital and prefecture of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the Gironde department, as well as the headquarters of Bordeaux Métropole.

Fascinating: Hervé helped me discover Bordeaux from a different perspective. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend the Greeters’ services.
We had a lovely walk with Gilles in Bordeaux and saw lots of things we wouldn’t have with a regular tour, like the rampart under the bricolage store! It was nice to hear some of the town’s history, including the meaning of the ‘three rivers’ symbol.
A very enjoyable walk of discovery with Jeanne, rich in culture and in the history of neighbourhoods and streets, past and present, all shared with great enthusiasm. We wandered through the échoppes away from the main thoroughfares and the beaten track. I was delighted to share this day with her. I warmly recommend this Greeter.
