Greeters news on the FFTST website

FFTST – French Federation of Higher Tourism Technicians

Since 1965, the F.F.T.S.T. has brought together professionals holding a degree in Tourism. As a representative organization within the tourism sector, it works in partnership with public administrations, federations, NGOs, and various tourism operators and professionals.

Its initiatives to support the development of the sector focus on the implementation of professional training programs, particularly for training centers and teachers/trainers, as well as on fostering dialogue between tourism professionals and educators to ensure that training programs better match the needs of businesses.

Within this framework, the FFTST and the FFG have decided to collaborate in order to create bridges between training programs, students, and Greeters through local partnerships with educational networks and institutions.

The objective of this collaboration is to make sustainable tourism more visible to students, the future actors of the tourism industry, by providing training programs with a range of useful resources on the concept of participatory tourism, as well as several practical opportunities for collaboration (conferences, guest talks, internship placements, etc.).

Homeexchange

With 450,000 houses and apartments across 187 countries, HomeExchange is the global leader in home exchange between private individuals.

As an alternative to mass tourism, home exchange brings together a community of travelers seeking authentic, sustainable, and affordable holidays.

These values are closely aligned with those of the Greeters, which naturally brought our two communities together to promote one another — and much more than that.

Both of our communities share the same vision: encouraging local and responsible tourism, immersing visitors in local life, and fostering human encounters and cultural exchange.

The promise of a great collaboration!

Les oiseaux de passage

With Les Oiseaux de Passage, this is a partnership that goes back a long way.

It is impossible not to draw parallels with this community of travel storytellers and hosts, united around values of hospitality and welcome, where human connection is placed at the very heart of the journey.

Already, two Greeters networks — in Marseille and Nantes — are part of the adventure, and we believe this is only the beginning.

Our partnership is built on a genuine shared interest: promoting hospitality, encounters, and exchanges between local communities, visitors, and residents, with the ambition of working together on meaningful initiatives that highlight the people and committed stakeholders within our regions.

Voyageons autrement

A key player in digital publishing within the sustainable tourism sector, Voyageons Autrement defines its mission on its website as follows:

“By promoting the positive initiatives of tourism operators and highlighting their commitments and responsible achievements, Voyageons-Autrement.com helps increase the online visibility of stakeholders engaged in sustainable development.”

This is precisely what forms the foundation of our partnership:

“Web communication is now fundamental. By discovering your organization and your projects step by step, through the experiences of men and women committed to an ecotourism approach, readers will more easily identify with your regions and the people who bring them to life. Telling your story, in order to captivate the reader and inspire action.”
