Walks in Paris-Boulogne with one of its residents, a Greeter

You are warmly invited to discover Boulogne-Billancourt on a walk with a local, at the gateway to the capital, the largest city in Île-de-France after Paris. A city rich in cultural treasures, such as the famous Albert Kahn museum and its gardens, the museum housing works from the 1930s; the houses and buildings designed by the great architects of that era: Le Corbusier, Mallet Stevens, Perret, Fisher; a city with numerous gardens, each one different; a city over six centuries old, whose traces can still tell the story of life in days gone by.

Where is Boulogne-Billancourt located?

We are south-west of Paris in Île-de-France. The municipality of Boulogne-Billancourt is adjacent to the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Paris-Boulogne is served by 2 Paris metro lines, lines 9 and 10.

The Boulogne Greeter community

We are volunteer residents of Boulogne, members of the International Greeters Association. We want to introduce visitors to “our Boulogne”, just as we would for friends. We are neither guide-interpreters nor certified lecturers, but curious residents, passionate about the riches of our city, who speak several languages and want to meet and welcome people from outside Boulogne or France. During the walk, your Greeter will stroll with you through the streets of a neighbourhood they love for its rich past, its architecture, its markets, its cafés, its craftspeople or its artists…

What do our visitors say about their Greeter walks?

"

'Thanks to the quality of our Greeter's commentary and excellent knowledge of the city, I discovered a city whose architectural richness I had no idea about, despite living only a few kilometres away.'

Chris, Paris (France)

'The Greet has been the highlight of our stay. Our Greeter, Georges, was very knowledgeable and interesting. We had a chance to ask the questions we never dared to ask… We believe we understand better the city and French way of life. An experience we will certainly do again in other parts of the world. Thanks'

'It was a most wonderful day. I learned so much about the area and got to see a fantastic Japanese Garden, a splendid array of architectural gems and most of all suggestions for return visits to the area. Das is a national treasure!!'
